For me, a knitter, a pattern lover and a Harry Potter fan, I love the quidditch field and all of it´s wonderful patterns. This visual spectacle gave me the idea to design these quidditch inspired mittens, a pair for each house. Each house is brought to life by using a house’s signature colors as well as including the letter of the house at the back of the right thumb.

The size of the mittens is womens medium, but making a smaller size can be done by using smaller needles for the body of the mitten part and making bigger mittens can be done by using bigger needles for both parts.
The mittens are worked in the round from the bottom to top using 5 double pointed needles, followed by knitting the thumb using 4 double pointed needles.
Begin with needles US 1.5 (2.5 mm) and knit the cuff chart. Then change to needles US 2 (2.75 mm) and knit until you finish the chart.

For a pair of mittens you will need 1 skein of each main color and some leftover yarn for the third color. (Kambgarn)

Sem áhugamanneskja um alls konar munstur og litasamsetningar þá er Quidditch leikvangurinn í Harry Potter myndunum algjör draumur að horfa á. Með leikvanginn í huga hannaði ég þessa skrautlegu vettlinga. Mismunandi litir heimavista Hogwarts skólans eru í aðal hlutverki og er stafur hverrar heimavistar prjónaður inn í munstrið aftan á hægri handar þumal.

Í uppskriftina eru notaðir 5 prjónar nr. 2.5 mm og fimm prjónar nr. 2.75 mm. Stærðin er kvk stærð ca. m og auðvelt er að minnka vettlingana með því að nota minni prjóna eða stækka þá með því að nota stærri prjóna.
Fyrir eitt par af vettlingum þarf eina dokku af Kambgarni af hvorum aðallit og afgangs garn ef til er, fyrir þriðja litinn..
