ALL ABOARD!

The Goff Place Mystery shawl is inspired by the action of Allingham’s brilliant thriller, Hide my Eyes, which fans out across London, criss-crossing the city from the Harrow Road and West End Theatre district to the East End industrial dockside, involving several journeys by bus. There are four clues, named for four different characters, and, following the plot and geography of the novel, each clue takes the shawl in a different (and somewhat mysterious) direction, exploring different construction methods and techniques. The shawl uses five different shades of fingering weight yarn, and each clue involves all of these five shades.

See the schedule included in your club welcome pack for the clue release dates.

Yarn
Kate Davies Designs Milarrochy Tweed (70% Wool; 30% Mohair; 100m / 109yds per 25g ball) OR comparable fingering / laceweight yarn, in the following shades and quantities:
Shade A: 100g
Shade B: 100g
Shade C: 75g

Shade B: A light shade
Shades C and D: Two shades of medium value (that is, not too dark or too light) that also contrast well with one another.
Shade E: A pop shade (that is, a shade that stands out in your palette because it is lighter or brighter)

Gauge
24 sts and 48 rows to 10cm / 4in over garter stitch worked back and forth. Use 3.25mm needle as a starting point for swatching.
