The Herd for Him, sheep mittens (vettlingar)
The mittens are worked in the round from the bottom to top using 5 double pointed needles, followed by knitting the thumb using 4 double pointed needles.
Begin with needles US 2 (2.75 mm) and knit the edge, the Latvian braids and the cuff chart pattern. Then change to needles US 2.5 (3 mm) and knit the body of the mittens chart pattern.
For a pair of mittens you will need 1 skein of the main color, 1 skein of contrast color 1, 1 skein of contrast color 2 and 1 skein of contrast color 3 and 4 or you may use any fingering weight leftover yarn you have for contrast colors 3 and 4.
