450 yards of light worsted, worsted, or heavy worsted
yarn, divided in half. You can use more yardage, which would
give you a longer and wider scarf/shawl, you just need to be
able to divide the yardage in half. You can achieve different effects by using different fibers---Have fun, play a little!
