Designers description: You can use odd lots of dyed, blended, or unusual yarns in these great wool socks, suitable for fall, winter, and spring, or you can spin yarn especially for them. You’ll need to spin a fairly consistant size-comparable to a commercial sport weight- to make them work. They’re just right for wearing under boots or around the house. Once you’re familiar with the pattern, you can adapt it to different weights of yarn.

Sizing:These socks are 9 inches in circumference at the top; the ribbing stretches to fit a calf size of 12-14 inches. If you want larger socks, cast on additional stitches in multiples of 4.

comments: this pattern is knit top down and is pretty simple good for a beginner…
