Thunderstorm Shawl
There’s nothing I love more than a thunderstorm; the percussion in the air sends a little wave of excitement through our home. Growing up in the Midwest, we had our share of wicked spring storms and I always found them quite exciting. Even now, we will hunker down near the fire, get our candles ready (just in case) and listen to the storm until it passes. It feels a bit magical. The electric zigs and zags of “lightning” paired with horizontal ridges in this shawl are my nod to the greyest, rainiest days when we are lucky enough to hear the skies roar.
