My version of an old lace pattern, Eye of the Tiger. Worked in a yarn slightly thicker than ordinary laceweight, the pattern results in bold, clear lines, while still being light and airy. Wear it over your shoulders as a small stole, or wrap it around your neck as a cozy scarf.

Construction
This scarf/stole is worked from the ends towards the middle, and then joined with grafting. Detailed instructions are provided to maintain the garter stitch edges while grafting.

Gauge
1 pattern repeat (21/29 sts, 16 rows) ≈ 5½×2” /13.5×5 cm using US#4/3.5 mm needles, after blocking.

Gauge is not important, but will obviously affect the finished size and yarn consumption.

Measurements
Length: 59” /150 cm
Width: 14¼ “ /36 cm
