Important Notes and Information

C1 = Thicker (Light Worsted) Solid
C2 = Thinner (Fingering) Gradient
~ It is important to have a difference in the thickness of your yarns – without it you will not get the correct effect.

Only 1 Color at a time is worked: Main Slip Stitch Body = Always 2 R with C1 and 4 R with C2 –
’Carry’ yarns along Right hand edge twining yarns in a consistent way at start of each RS row.

When using C1 there will be inc’s on both R & WS – When using C2 there will be inc’s only on RS.

All YO’s from previous rows are knit through back loop (ktbl) to ‘close’ and prevent standard lacy YO hole. These are included in Written & Chart.

slip wyf/b = in written instructions refers to where the slip ‘runner’ goes in relation to the work as viewed.

2 Marker Types:

Center Markers (CM) = Denotes Middle 2 sts aka center line.
~Slip stitch patterning mirrored outward from this 2 st center line.

Turn Markers (TM)= for short rows sections.

Wings = R & L are made using Corrugated (2 R Stockinette/2 R rev. Stockinette) Short Rows. Each wing is worked separately but are conjoined ~ yarn is not cut or rejoined.

~ you may substitute more traditional US wrap and turns – but I think you will enjoy and benefit from learning the GSR (no holes - no wraps to pick up and work into!)
