This Tiny Easter Chick is a quick Springtime knit, and a super project for using up odds and ends of yarn to avoid waste. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the little chick and egg shell are knitted in cotton DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The shell uses a picot cast off, and step by step instructions are included in the pattern.

NEEDLES
A pair of 2.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK; double knitting weight; 100% cotton; a few grammes in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a little toy filling, beads for eyes and felt fabric scraps.

SIZES
One size only - The egg shell is 3.5cm wide and the chick is 3.5cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include seaming, increases and decreases.
