This is a simple garter stitch blanket in bold chevron stripes. Knit in worsted weight yarn on size 9 needles, the result is a very flowing blanket. For a blanket with a little more body, step down a needle size.

The design starts with 2 triangles which are joined at the center. The main section of the blanket has an increase at the beginning of each row, and a decrease in the center of each row. These two stitch elements create the chevron effect. To finish, decreases are made at the beginning and center of the rows until the bottom stitches meet.

The sample was knit with 3 skeins each of 2 colors of Berroco Comfort yarn.
