Tokyo Shawl is an elegant garter stitch shawl. The shawl’s graphic look is created with short rows, which give the shawl a wavy effect. The shawl is knitted back and forth in one piece and can be worked in many lovely yarn qualities. The pattern is suitable for both experienced knitters and beginners, as there are videos for every step of Tokyo Shawl.

Length measured from tip to tip approx. 196 cm.
Width measured at the center of the shawl, approx. 11 cm.

Materials:
50 g Tweed from Tante Grøn (50 g = 350 m / 100% wool) held together with 50 g Soft Silk Mohair from Tante Grøn (25 g = 210 m / 70% mohair and 30% silk) or North from Tante Grøn (25 g = 275 meters / 50% fine merino wool, 30% silk & 20% cashmere).

Recommended needles:
Circular needle 4 mm, 60 cm.

Gauge:
20 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch with one strand of Tweed and one strand of Soft Silk Mohair (note: 36 rows can also be counted as 18 garter ridges).

Colors in the photos:
The terracotta Tokyo Shawl is knitted in Tweed from Tante Grøn in color 449 Terracotta, together with Soft Silk Mohair from Tante Grøn in color 107 Autumn.

The beige Tokyo Shawl is knitted in Tweed from Tante Grøn in color 246 Walnut and North from Tante Grøn in color 19 Fudge.
