Torculus Cowl
“A Torculus, is a symbol from medieval musical notation – one symbol representing a set of 3 separate and distinct notes, forever connected and defined by their relationship to each other – down, up, down.
“In this project, we have 3 distinct colors which retain their original characters but transition from one to the next, overlapping and flowing constantly in a closed circle.
“The intention is to use your entire skein of yarn so the colors can fade continuously over the grafted ends. Keeping that in mind, you should use a needle size and gauge which create a fabric you like with the yarn you have spun. Your gauge and final dimensions will be determined by your yarn and may vary from mine.”
