Tribbia shawl
In late May – beginning of June when the temperatures rise, the fields start to turn yellow. The cereals and hay start to mature and the farmers get ready for the threshing season. Soon all the fields are dotted with round, golden yellow hay bales. The remaining stubble turns burnt pale yellow in days. At the end of June one can hardly see a single green hay straw anywhere.
Tribbia is an asymmetrical triangular shawl. Knitting begins at the top corner. Shawl shaping is done on every right side row and increases are worked on wrong side rows until the intended size is achieved. The pattern is perfect for left overs or a set of miniskeins. Lace knitting only on the right side rows and only one lace pattern used throughout. Continuous stitch pattern and color changes make this shawl a project you don’t want to put down!
