What starts as a top-down triangular shawl doesn’t always have to end up being triangular, nor a shawl. This pattern turns it into a cowl!
Starting with an i-cord tab cast on, knit a stripy top-down shawl until the wingspan is as long as the circumference of the cowl. Then connect the wings of your shawl and turn it into a cowl. And i-cord bind off mirrors the edge of the triangular shawl section and gives the cowl a finished look.
Chose 2 or 3 high contrast colors for a graphic look or colors with the same intensity for a softer look (you could pair a variegated with a matching semi-solid colorway).

Finished Measurements: 130 cm / 51“ circumference, 40 cm / 15.75” height (at center of triangle)

Notions: tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers, stitch holder/waste yarn, crochet hook and waste yarn for provisional cast on

Was als Dreieckstuch beginnt, muss am Ende nicht unbedingt dreieckig sein – oder ein Tuch. In diesem Strickmuster wird daraus ein Loop-Schal!
Begonnen wird mit einem „i-cord tab“-Anschlag. Davon ausgehend wird von oben nach unten ein gestreiftes Dreieckstuch gestrickt, bis die obere Kante dem Umfang des Loop-Schals entspricht. Danach werden die Spitzen des Dreiecks verbunden – dafür nimmt man entweder eine der beiden Farben mit denen zuvor gearbeitet wurde, oder eine dritte. Abgeschlossen wird das Ganze mit einem i-cord.
Wähle 2 oder 3 Farben mit hohem Kontrast für einen graphischen Look oder Farben mit weniger Kontrast für einen gleichmäßigeren, softeren Look.
