“Trifora” (a type of medieval window) is a cozy sweater knit top-down in the round, in one piece and with no seaming.
To start, the neck stitches are cast-on and a narrow border is knit in a very simple lace stitch.
The yoke is worked in three phases.
During the first phase, the first series of short rows is worked to raise the back neck.
During the second phase, the second color is added and the yoke is knit in two colours using the stranded colourwork technique; increases are inserted to shape the garment.
During the third phase, the increases continue for a raglan yoke and short rows are used to shape the shoulders and the back of the garment.
When the yoke is completed, the stitches for the sleeves are divided from the body and the three pieces are completed separately.
The sleeves are long and very wide; all of the borders on the body and sleeves are also knit in a very simple lace stitch to match the neckline border.

Shown in size M with bust size 96 cm – 37 ¾ in and with 28 cm – 11 in of positive ease at bust.

LICHEN AND LACE Rustic Heather Sport (Sport weight yarn; 100% Wool: 197 m – 215 yds / 56 g – 1.98 oz. skein).
Colour 1 (C1): Coal; 1 skein (120 130, 130, 130, 140, 150 m – 132 143, 143, 143, 154, 165 yds);
Colour 2 (C2): Rose; 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8) skeins (910 990, 1075, 1190, 1345, 1470 m – 996 1083, 1176, 1302, 1471, 1608 yds).
Materials for Embroidery (optional):
silver lamé embroidery thread.
Circular needles:
3 mm – US 2 ½ with a 40 cm – 16 in and 80 cm – 32 in cable;
3.5 mm – US 4 with a 40 cm – 16 in, 60 cm – 24 in and 80 cm – 32 in cable.
If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
Tapestry needle and scissors.

“Trifora” (è un tipo di finestra medioevale) è un maglione oversized, lavorato dall’alto verso il basso in un unico pezzo senza cuciture.
Si incomincia dal collo e si lavora un piccolo bordo con un punto pizzo molto semplice.
La lavorazione dello sprone si divide in tre fasi.
Nella prima si lavora la prima serie di ferri accorciati per alzare il dietro.
Nella seconda si incomincia a lavorare anche con il secondo colore e con la tecnica dei fili passati, inserendo gli aumenti per modellare il capo.
Nella terza si prosegue con gli aumenti secondo uno sprone raglan e con dei ferri accorciati per modellare le spalle e il dietro.
Dopo la separazione delle maniche dal corpo, i tre pezzi sono completati separatamente.
Le maniche sono lunghe e molto ampie; i bordi del corpo e delle maniche sono lavorati con un punto pizzo uguale a quello del collo.

XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) vestono un giroseno di 76 (86, 96, 106, 117, 127) cm.
Le foto si riferiscono alla taglia M indossata da una modella con un giroseno di 96 cm con un agio di 28 cm.
