Trillium
Twisted traveling stitches tend to make a sturdy fabric. Embroidery makes them even more so. This, it seems to me, is ideal for a vest. This is a surprisingly versatile pattern. The same panels can be done in many different colorways, producing vests of varying character. I made one for my son using a dark variegated yarn for the middle panels. It came out certainly masculine and even dignified. The vest as shown is a garment you can put on over work clothes and be clad for dinner.

D 175 (175, 175, 175, 200, 200) yds
E 150 yds
