Meet Tristan the Patchwork Armadillo, created as part of our Winter 2025 collection that was inspired by the shapes and patterns in quilting and patchwork. Complete with fully adjustable plates, you can choose to sit him confidently on your shelf or if he’s feeling a little shy he can curl up inside his armour for extra protection.

Armadillos are closely related to sloths and anteaters, taking their name from the Spanish word which means ‘little armoured one’ – and they are the only living mammal that possess such ‘shells’.

This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet animal you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Patchwork Armadillo will be approximately 27cm tall from feet to top of head.

SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.
