Trudy the Giraffe has a busy day so has to get their skates on! You can make your giraffe without the roller skate wheels to give them a funky pair of lace up boots instead. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the giraffe is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5).

RECOMMENDED YARN
King Cole Big Value DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, buttons and stitch markers.

SIZES
One size only - Giraffe stands at 36cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, knitting stripes, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
