This scarf/wrap pattern starts as a tube worked in-the-round until it measures 12 to 14 inches. The width of the tube is then cut to form a flat piece. Then, sets of stitches are dropped from the needle to form the long strands shown in the photos.

The pattern is adapted from a non-copyrighted “March Mystery Knit” knitting pattern. I expanded the pattern to include more knitting directions, photos, beads and a stitch pattern that does not curl along the edges.

4/6/2012: Cast on 185 stitches instead of 186 stitches. When working the bind-off round over 185 stitches, the last set of BO 4 sts ends at the second marker. If you cast on 186 stitches, there will be an extra stitch between the last set of BO 4 sts and the second marker; just knit all remaining stitches.
