Tucker and his twin sister, Nellie, are river otter pups that were born at the Oregon Zoo last spring. Young river otters are known to rely on play to learn survival skills. The two different sections of the cowl represent Tucker playing in the Nestucca River, (his namesake), casting waves and chasing his sister through the sun-dappled water.
