Tulips
“Tulips” is a seamless shawl knitted top-down from the central neck stitches to the edge.
The sample shawl in the photographs was knitted with 5 repeats of the tulip pattern and after blocking was 256 cm (100.8 inches) for the straight edge on the top of the shawl and 100 cm (39.4 inches) for the height of the shawl at the center. You can easily make it bigger or smaller by adding or taking away pattern repeats. The shawl design is modular and the border pattern can be started after the desired number of the body pattern repeats is knitted.
The shawl instructions are fully charted. The shawl is symmetrical and there are two charts provided for the left and right sides of the shawl body. These charts differ only in few sts. There is one chart for the border.
Lace instructions are charted only.
