Tuppence A Bag
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Just imagine a newly hatched baby sparrow, falling into a downy bed of your own superbly soft pullover snippings!
Any yarn, any weight, any size double-pointed needles, whatever bits and pieces you have scrap or spare, can be used to make this practical little birds nesting material offering.
It’s an ideal first pattern for practising working in the round, and for making yarn-overs, because any mistakes you make really won’t show, and anyway, the robins won’t mind.
Use it to teach a child to knit. Give one to Grandma on Mothering Sunday.
The pattern isn’t tuppence it’s free!
Robert Sherman died at the good old age of 86 on March 5th 2012. Thanks for all the pretty songs, Robert.
