This easy to knit striped shawlette or kerchief scarf is worked completely in garter stitch from the bottom point up to top edge. The stripes and colors of the shawl reminded me of the headdress of Tutankhamun, the boy king of Ancient Egypt.

It can be knit up entirely in one single yarn weight or a combination of two, (such as worsted and fingering weights) as demonstrated by the shawl in the photos. I used Brooklyn Tweed Shelter yarn (worsted weight) in Sap and Brooklyn Tweed Loft yarn (fingering weight) in Cast Iron. This piece is a great stash buster as pretty much any yarn goes. Have fun experimenting!
