Tweed Jacket
This pattern is
available for free.
This cleverly designed garment is made up in knop-tweed wool, in lovely heathery brown tones. The pleated pockets and fastenings are finished with real leather buttons similar to those used on tailored tweeds. As simple stocking and garter stitches only are used, even the inexperienced knitter will find the design simple to do. The jacket is suggested to be worn with a brown Harris tweed skirt, and, with a jaunty sports hat of brown felt, will make a smart suit for practical or spectator sports wear.
MATERIALS REQUIRED.—16oz. Paton and Baldwins Home-spun wool. 1 pair No. 10 needles (“Beehive” Brand). 11 buttons.
