Twinlace Skirt
This skirt is built around your hips, so choose your size by hip measurement for the best fit. Both layers grow from the same waistband and are meant to live together as one finished piece. The underskirt feels soft and warm against the skin, while the lace overskirt brings movement and character into every step. With its light, open texture, the skirt is slightly sheer and designed to be styled with your favourite layers. Worked top-down, the pattern invites you to stop at the length that feels right, not the one the pattern tells you to.
For the underskirt, I use a combination of Unicorn yarn + mohair with a 9 mm hook. For the overskirt, I use only mohair with a 6 mm hook.
Tip: both Diablo mohairs have the same characteristics, except for the color. This means you can use just one of them to make this skirt, or combine two contrasting colors for a more striking effect.
