Vacation Favorite is a new variation on my Favorite pattern, an asymmetrical triangle shawl design. This version uses two colors and fun stitch patterns to highlight a variegated yarn, maybe an interesting souvenir yarn from vacation shopping. Who can resist searching out the local yarn store when they’re out of town?!

The shawl measures about 60 inches in length and 17 inches deep at the widest point, but with this shape, you can add more rows of your favorite stitch pattern until the shawl is as big as you want it. Just make sure you have extra yarn.

The main color is Rowan Softyak DK in black, 3 balls needed. The contrast color is one ball of Twizzle from Mountain Colors, who dyed this color way, Mardi Gras, exclusively for The Quarter Stitch, located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. There isn’t anymore of this Twizzle colorway on the shelves, but sometimes the shop has yarns from Dream In Color in their exclusive colorway, Do Whatcha Wanna.
