Venetian Windows
This design by Hitomi Shida was inspired by the beautifully decorated windows found in Venice, and features some exquisite stitch patterns. It has a typical Japanese garment construction, where the main body is worked upwards from a provisional cast-on with the hem worked afterwards. The back and front are worked separately, with the sleeves made by increasing stitches on either side of the body
and worked in one piece. The sleeves and neck edgings are added using double-pointed needles after joining the back and front pieces.
