A playful, sculptural tea cosy inspired by the Venus Flytrap. The design includes six stems and six traps, with a couple already snapped shut, plus two small flies with button wings. The cosy sits in a knitted plant pot and is worked against a khaki background for a bold, botanical look.

The pattern is four pages long, written in English, and contains no charts. It is knitted flat on two needles, mainly in stocking stitch, and seamed. Stylecraft Special DK is used throughout.

The finished cosy fits a medium teapot that holds roughly 6 to 8 cups or around 2 pints.
