Needles and gauge

• US 3 / 3.25mm circular needles for the body
• US 4 / 3.5mm circular needles for the cast on and i-cord bind off
• Swatch to determine the needle size that helps to fit the gauge of 22 sts and 46 rows in 4” / 10cm in garter stitch, blocked.

Construction

• The scarf is worked flat from the center out width-wise.

• Construction starts with two-sided cast on, then either the lacy or the plain center is worked flat.

• Each half of the scarf is worked in garter stitch and shaped with short rows.

• Once the body of the scarf is completed, open stitches are bound off with contrast color using i-cord bind off.
