A great friend told me she would try colorwork if I made her something simple and fun. We sat together one knit night and played with some simple repeating patterns and went with this jagged diagonal. If you are brand new to colorwork, this is a great no pressure place to start - mistakes are fairly hidden and you can get a good feel for using a two handed method (online tutorial link included). You can easily size this up or down by adding or omitting repeats, and since there isn’t a real motif you can make it as tall or as short as you wish.
