Wanderful is a lovely raglan sweater with a fun all-over colorwork pattern. Worked from the top down in the round, seamlessly. The pattern begins with a cast on and neck shaping (a few wrong side colorwork rows here, but they are short!), then joined to work in the round. After the yoke is completed, the work is separated and sleeve stitches are placed on hold to be worked later. The lower body and hem are also worked in the round. Stitches are picked up around the neckline to create a fluffy double collar, and then sleeve stitches go back on your needles to finish your sweater off with two sleeves. The colorwork motif that dances all over the sweater is extremely easy to work - for sure begging for “one more row”, time after time. Use three contrast colors like shown here, or just one, or pick through your stash of leftover yarns and make the sweater as colorful as you please! The sample is worked in The Wandering Flock’s sport weight Baby Paca yarn Mohair Lace held double for all three contrast colors - and the result is so very lovely, I greatly recommend going this route! You are also welcome to use whatever yarn you would like, as long as they all meet the required gauge (below).
