Warm Milk Socks
A sock pattern in 7 sizes, from toddler to large adult, the Warm Milk socks are simple cuff down socks with a cute ribbed pattern and a standard heel flap and gusset. If you’re new to socks then there’s nothing alarming, and if you’re experienced with socks then they will be a perfect travel project! They are perfect socks for knitting on chilly evenings, and even better for wearing to help keep the cold weather at bay! Sit on your sofa with a cup of warm milk – other wintery beverages are available! – and enjoy a soothing, straightforward knit.
YARN
- 1 (1, 1, 2) (2, 2, 3) balls Regia 4ply sock yarn (4ply / fingering, 75% Wool / 25% Nylon). 210 metres (230 yards) / 50 grams in Candy (5062).
- Amount of yarn used: 98-490 m (131 - 536 yards). See sizing and yardage table below for more specific details.
- Good substitutions would include any yarn of a similar weight that is suitable for socks.
NEEDLES
2.5 mm (US 1 ½) DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge.
GAUGE
32 stitches and 48 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in worked in pattern stitch on 2.5 mm (US 1 ½) needles after blocking.
NOTIONS
- Darning/tapestry needle. Stitch marker (optional).
