Wave of Change Pullover
This pullover gets its name from the purl ridges that create concentric rings around the body. Like a stone dropped into still waters creates a ripple effect, we too can create a wave of change. I believe every single person has the power to effect change through daily acts of kindness.
This is the sister pattern to the #waveofchangejacket that I published in Feb 2020. This year brought unexpected change: a global pandemic, the murders of black and brown people in America, responsive and heartwarming global support for Black Lives Matter, and a presidential election that has divided the nation. Wouldn’t you agree we all need a little extra kindness right now?
In that spirit, this pattern was designed to be gender-neutral and size-inclusive.
Construction:
This raglan style pullover is worked seamlessly in the round and from the top down. I’ve added German short rows to the back neck area for an ergonomic fit. A video tutorial for working German short rows is included. The body is designed to be boxy with a slightly cropped silhouette. You can, of course, knit the body to your desired length. Suggestions for lengthening are included. The sleeves are also knit in the round using either magic loop or DPNs.
