Waves of the Atlantic
Waves of the Atlantic is a fun easy project to help you use up that one skein of special yarn you have, or just to use up part of your stash. It is constructed by adding stitches with a simple eyelet row and then binding off stitches to produce the “Wave” edging.
The scarf takes about 200 yds of DK weight and the Shawlette takes about 420-450 yds of fingering. I just knitted the Shawlette until I ran out of yarn.
This is a simple project, but the effect is amazing! It is easy to take with you when you travel, because once you have knitted it, you probably won’t even need to have the pattern in front of you.
You can use any yarn…from lace weight to worsted. Just match your needle size with your yarn….hint, the larger needles, 8 & 9 (US size) will produce a more open look when blocked.
I hope you enjoy this great fun project.
