Wheels on the School Bus
This is a fun little sweater that uses both the linked double crochet stitch and a Catherine’s wheel motif. The result is a whimsical and warm sweater perfect for cool fall days. Shown here in Halloween colors with scary ghost buttons and you have a great sweater to wear to a haunted house, ghoulish party, or even as a slip on if your little one gets cold trick or treating!
I originally made it because I was trying to kill two birds with one stone: Make the Catherine’s Wheel look ‘young’ and also use the school bus buttons my daughter became obsessed with one year. I managed to do both and and instead of receiving the accolades and “Mother of the Year” awards I was fantasizing about as I stitched, I got some leftover Halloween candy and a watermelon sucker stuck in my hair. Envy me.
