Why are Flamingos Pink sock set
30% off with coupon code SHRIMPS until end of Wednesday 20th March.*
This sock set includes two fun, tropical themed colourwork sock patterns for you to knit while dreaming of Summer vacations. Whether you want some fun kitsch flamingos on your socks or some cute shrimp to brighten up your day. Inspired by beautiful vibrant sock yarn from House of A La Mode, I was initially inspired to knit some vibrant flamingos with a bright blue water background. However, after a trip to Spain (and a lot of tapas!), the pink also had me thinking of shrimps and that is how the Why are Flamingo´s Pink? sock set was created!
Flamboyant flamingos socks
Knit from the top down with a ribbed cuff, these socks have a traditional heel flap and gusset construction, with a fun flamingo motif on the leg (with little duplicate stitch details for the eyes/breaks). There is a small section of simple colourwork on the foot just before the toe, the toe is then finished by grafting stitches together. This pattern uses the magic loop circular needle method (but can be knit with 23cm (9 inch) circulars or DPNs).
