ABOUT THE PATTERN
Wild Rose is inspired by the spirit of a wild rose: beautiful and delicate at first glance, yet resilient and quietly strong. A rose that grows on its own terms. The lace reflects this soft elegance, while the structure and contrasts evoke an audacious, spontaneous character. Notions:
Crochet hook for beading US 12 – 0.60 mm, row counter (recommended), stitch marker, tapestry needle, waste yarn or 1 stitch holder, scrap yarn.

Gauge
22 sts x 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm. Measured over the lace pattern using Chart 1 after blocking, worked flat with N1 and C1. Make an additional swatch worked in the rnd, as gauge may vary between flat and rnd knitting. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge for the body.

Notes
The sweater begins from the back, using German short rows to shape the shoulders. The back is worked flat to the desired length. Stitches are then picked up along the back CO edge to work the left and right fronts. After shaping the neckline, the fronts are joined knitting flat, until the fronts join with the back, and then the body is worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and knitted in the round. Techniques used include lace, welts, bead knitting, and German short rows.
