This little girl’s dress is knitted using DK weight yarn from the top down, including knitting in the flat while casting on along both front edges to shape the neck. The garment is joined to work in the round for the rest of the yoke. Lace stripes interrupt the main stockinette stitch pattern and are placed at increasingly distant intervals down the dress. The sleeves are bound off when the sleeves and body are divided, and the skirt is increased slightly and simply over two length options for each size, a tunic and a full dress. The picot neckline is picked up; both it and the picot hemline are knitted, folded over and sewn.
