Wildflower Top is a sleeveless top worked seamlessly from the top down. Beautiful cable and lace panels adorn both the front and back, adding elegant texture and detail to this timeless design.

The top-down construction allows you to easily adjust the length, making Wildflower Top a versatile garment for warm summer days and year-round layering.

I knit my sample in 100% silk, which tends to grow quite a bit after blocking. If your gauge is slightly off, I’d recommend adding a few more extra stitches to the underarms to be on the safe side! Keep in mind that the lace section will also open up considerably during blocking.
Since the top is worked from the top down, it’s easy to try on as you knit so you can check the fit along the way. Also remember that the top will most likely stretch a bit over time as you wear it.
The armholes may seem a little large at first, but they’ll become smaller once you pick up its around them and work the ribbing.

NOTES
The top is worked from the top down. First, the upper back is worked flat until the underarms and then stitches are picked up from the shoulders to work the upper front until the underarms. The pieces are joined on the same circular needle and the body is worked in the round to hem. Finally, the stitches are picked up from the neckline and the armholes and finished with ribbing.
