Wimmona is a drop shoulder constructed pullover.
Knit from the bottom up, short rows are used to
maintain a slightly cropped length in the front with
a gradually increasing and slightly longer length in
the back. The garment is worked in the round to the
armholes, then knit flat to the shoulders. Short rows
are used to shape the shoulders. Sleeve stitches
are picked up around the armhole edges and full
bishop shaped sleeves are worked in the round to
the cuff. The body is worked in stockinette stitch
and the sleeves are worked in a simple stranded
colorwork design. Edges are finished with an I-Cord
Bind Off. A decorative sculptural cord is included as
an accessory.

Wimmona takes inspiration from the sea. Walks
along the Maine coastline reveal a vast variety
seaweed types. The stranded design and sculptural
cord are meant to mimic Ascophyllum nodosum, a
seaweed with long leathery fronds and egg-shaped
air bladders dotting a path along the length of the
fronds.
