Winding River Cable Scarf
The Winding River Cable Scarf is knit in one piece, length-wise using cable stitches, twisted cable stitches, moss stitch and i-cord edges.
It was designed to use most of one skein of Cascade Eco+ Chunky yarn and I had only 11 grams of yarn left after binding off. If you cannot find the Eco+ chunky yarn near you, it could easily be replaced with an aran or heavy worsted yarn of your choice. You will need approximately 250 grams/420 metres of yarn.
The pattern includes a chart for the cable sections and written instructions for those who do not like charts.
Gauge is not crucial for fit but keep in mind that you may need more or less yarn if your gauge is not exactly like mine.
Approximate measurements after blocking are: 21.5 cm/8.5 in wide x 167 cm/66 in long. You can easily lengthen or shorten your scarf by doing more or less cable pattern repeats.
I hope you will enjoy knitting your scarf as much as I did creating it.
