Windswept Again!
A Beaded, Crocheted, Linen Moebius Cowl and Shoulder Shrug
This project began as a beaded version of Windswept, my crocheted moebius cowl, but as more rounds were crocheted, it transformed itself into a wider, shorter cowl, which doubles as a lovely shoulder shrug. One of the curious and wonderful properties of the moebius is that as more rounds of crocheting are added, the piece naturally becomes wider, but in addition, it becomes shorter.
The beads are positioned in an offset pattern, which add delicate pops of sparkle and color to the moebius.
This crocheted moebius is a lovely accessory to crochet and wear during warmer weather. Linen is cool to the touch and perfect for spring and summer crocheting. Remember to keep the moebius handy for those chilly air-conditioned spaces, too. Join the fun and add this technique to your crochet “toolbox”. Experience the magic. Once you get going, you will want to crochet a Windswept Again! moebius cowl for everyone you love!
I used approximately 20 grams (300) of TOHO seed beads, size 6/0. Quality beads are a must in crocheting. TOHO beads are smooth and uniform.
Helpful links for bead stringing and the foundation single crochet are included in the pattern.
