Knit your own love heart, only 2.5” tall. This kitsch knitted heart, with little knitted wings to help love fly would make a great Valentine gift or Christmas tree decoration. The hearts can also be knitted without wings. I find this a quick and addictive knit.

For an ADVENTUROUS BEGINNER knitter using the technique of short row shaping (fully explained in the pattern). The Heart is knitted flat and only has one small sewn seam.

Garter (knit) Stitch
Purl Stitch
Picking Up stitches
K2tog

MATERIALS REQUIRED
Approximately 30 yards of red or pink Double Knitting yarn
Approximately 10 yards of white or cream Double Knitting yarn
US size 3 (3 ¼ mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
