Winter is coming… In order to prepare, we have developed a new Game of Thrones inspired knitting pattern to keep your neck warm as you journey to the other side of the Wall. When the winds howl and the snow falls one hundred feet deep you’ll be the fairest of Starks.

The simplest of lace combined with lofty Heirloom worsted weight yarn make this cowl knit up in the blink of a dragon’s eye. The 100% Romney sheepswool, shorn from descendants of medieval longwool breeds, keeps warm in the harshest of climes.

Finish your cowl with a leather closure from Jul for the most distinctive Winterfell fashion, or stitch on a leather or cast metal button as a closure.

You can easily alter the size of this cowl by doing more or less repeats of the simple garter stitch-based lace pattern. Gauge is not too important with this pattern, knit until you like the fit of your cowl.

Two cowls can be made from one skein of Heirloom…perhaps one for you and one for your direwolf?
