Wisp Wrap
Ethereal, gossamer, diaphanous, the Wisp Wrap caresses the shoulders as lightly as fairy dust. The play of elongated stitch diamonds against a background of more tightly knit Stockinette Stitch creates a mesmerizing reversal of figure and ground, making maximum use of Aloft’s fineness and strength.
Wisp is a rectangular wrap worked flat from the short end. The Puff Diamond Pattern is worked five times across the width. To keep the focus on the pattern, edgings are simple: knitted-on eyelet edges up the sides and three rows of Seed Stitch, worked with yarn doubled, stabilize the narrow ends. Stitch pattern is charted only.
