I got tired of burning my hands on hot dishes and pots, from the microwave and the oven. So I made hotpads that are double thick and big enough to fully protect the hand. These have now become a staple gift for friends and gamily alike and are high on the request list every year, so I am sharing the pattern with you.

Yardage will vary as these are made to you hand sixe and that might be different from my hand size. In the end each of my hotpads are 61grms in weight and I make them from a large handcrafter cotton ball of yarn but you can use any type of 100% cotton you want to to make these. Make sure its worssted for that thick squishy protection, you may need to change your hook size to get guage. Then go to town and craft yourself and your loved one some truly useful kitchen hotpads so we can all bake and cook without risking burnign our hands quite so much.
