This is an enhancement to the original Melt the Ice hat; if you haven’t already, please join the many, many knitters who have bought the pattern and thus donated to those affected in Minnesota.

This hat recipe is not yet tested. I plan to knit it and post a more complete PDF here. Due to the timely nature of the this, however, I am also posting the chart as a standalone; you can knit it with my recipe or it can be added to the 116-stitch or 132-stitch versions of the Melt the Ice or similar hats.

The chart is to add the words YOU WILL NOT BREAK ME to a Melt the Ice-style hat. The slogan is from the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and seem particularly appropriate for the anti-ICE protests. The words will be relatively small, an inch or so high; I wanted them to be all on one like, but also, in the series, these are the words Carl whispers to himself for strength, not something shouted at a power figure.
