Zapote
Knit from the top down using short rows to shape the hood. The shoulders are shaped in one piece with raglan increases and the body is finished with an a-line shape and garter stitch pockets.
12 month size modeled on 12 month old with 2” (5cm) positive ease. 
18 month size modeled on 18 month old with 2” (5cm) positive ease.

Yarn 
12 month size: 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins Fyberspates Vivacious DK, 100% superwash merino, 4oz (113g), 251yds (230m), color. Aqua (807). 
18 month size: 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3) skeins Miss Babs Yowza-Whatta Skein!, 100% superwash merino, 8oz (227g), 560yds (512m), color, Coventry.
Needles & Notions 
2 US size 6 (4mm) circular needles, 32” (80cm) long 
1 set US size 6 (4mm) double-pointed needles 
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve gauge 
Crochet hook for provisional cast-on Size G (4mm), waste yarn, stitch markers, Tapestry needle, 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) toggle buttons 1” (2.5cm) long.
Gauge 
20 stitches and 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch 
20 stitches and 40 rows = 4” (10cm) in garter stitch
