The Spring/Summer 2014 season looks to two opposing directions, one heavenly and future facing, the other grounded and ancient in its appeal. We see a mix of delicate pastel lace designs, bold and beautiful stripes and inspiring colour blended stripes, rustic textures and handcrafted artisan crochet. We see inspiration taken from Moorish tile art, Antique floral lace patterns and geographical patterning that can be found in rock formations. Rowan is showcasing three stories to reflect these major trends for the Spring/Summer 2014 season: Clarity – inspired by the delicate beauty of historic lace and Irish crochet making. Legacy – influences from ancient, worn landscapes and patterning found in rock formations. Essentials - takes a new direction this season by concentrating on another major trend - stripes, whilst still promoting the key shapes of the season.
