Crochet: Baby Blanket
This blanket pattern is based on octagonal motifs joined together with squares and half-squares. It is adjustable to your requirements, and the result can span the range from cradle to king size and everything in between.
Crochet: Scarf
This scarf is a shallow triangle that is worked sideways. It is made up of a simple 4-row repeat with a decorative, leafy edging added afterwards.
Crochet: Scarf, Shawl / Wrap
This is a Tunisian crochet pattern that is worked in short rows, which form the curves of the ‘spikes’ along the dragon’s spine.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Wavesong is a triangular shawl, worked from the centre of the long edge to the point (the usual way!) and incorporates a great mix of stitches. It is highly textured, but includes lots of holes, too.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
The Butterflight Shawl is a pattern that begins at the point and is work in straight rows until the desired size is reached. My sample is made using an acrylic yarn, but any yarn of your choice would work just as well - two of my testers used stranded cotton yarn to great effect.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This pattern is for a ribbed, eyelet beanie, which gives instructions for 6 sizes from 3 months to large adult, in three different weights of yarn, so it is hugely versatile in scope.
Crochet: Afghan block
The 2021 Unity CAL was created by 10 Australian designers and was sponsored by the Australian Crochet Community and KoKonki - Motki Ombre. The CAL has finished now, but there is a remix and extension.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
An easy beginner’s pattern with a 4-row repeat plus an optional decorative border, as well as the option to add your own tassels or pompoms - you can make this cozy shawl your own.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This traditional triangular shawl is made with a combination of closed and open stitches which adds interest and is great for crocheters who get bored with simpler patterns. It is made on a larger hook than usually recommended for the yarn to make it lacier.
Crochet: Purse / Handbag
Where popcorns and tassels collide to produce a psychedelic dream!
Crochet: Throw
This is the perfect pattern to show off the full effect of your Bobbel Boxx.
Crochet: Cowl
This design is a mix of Tunisian crochet and regular crochet.
Knitting: Hats - Other
This is a fairly quick project that requires only the basic stitches to achieve a cosy result. The hood is worked flat, in one piece, and then the back seam is sewn together to give the shaping. The main part of the hood is worked in stocking stitch with a garter stitch neck edging, then the face frame/ties are worked in garter stitch.
Knitting: Scarf
You have the option to knit with 4mm long circular or extendable knitting needles, OR 4mm regular knitting needles.
Crochet: Cup / Mug
This is a great little stash-busting project that can be made with any yarn you have on hand, and you could even mix and match yarns for more individuality.
Crochet: Animal Toy
These little birds are cute toys or Valentine tokens that fit in the palm of your hand. Make one to keep and one (or more) to give!
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
I am so excited and pleased to be able to release my first Tunisian crochet pattern!
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Looking for something a little different? This L-shaped wrap may be just the thing! Using a light-weight yarn and a 4mm hook, this lovely cotton wrap is perfect for those coolish evenings where you need something on your shoulders.
Crochet: Clutch
Jazzy Clutch uses spike stitches to create a beautifully textured and colourful clutch, with instructions to make a pencil case version included. The jazzy clutch is perfect for a night out, and makes you want to boogie and jive!
Crochet: Baby Blanket
If you like texture, then this project is for you. Individual motifs of octagons, squares and triangles are made up and sewn together, then finished with a border. This pattern was originally designed to be a pram-sized blanket, but could be enlarged to any size you want - however, because it is highly textured, it uses a lot of yarn!
Crochet: Throw
Join me on a textural journey ‘Down the Garden Path’.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Feeling like you need a pair of wings? Make yourself a set! This whimsical wrap is worked sideways so that the feather tips are made individually without cutting and re-joining the yarn. This technique works really well with a self-striping yarn, or you could work each feather in a different colour for a very different look.
Crochet: Wall Hanging
Combine any or all of the designs to make your very own dreamscape. You can use any 4ply/fingering yarn in cotton or cotton blends. Make it in a single colour, as I have, or use a self-striping or variegated yarn, or even a different solid colour for each ring.

Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This is a fairly simple curved wrap, made up of a two-row repeat, including increases which create the curve. Beginner crocheters could manage this one - knowledge of basic stitches, plus front - and back post double crochet is required.
Crochet: Animal Toy
As the name suggests, this is just a basic pony pattern. I don’t give detailed instructions on how to add the mane and tail; it is assumed you know how to do that. Therefore, this is probably aimed at intermediate crocheters. Knowledge of sc, hdc and back loop and front loop stitches is required.
Crochet: Hats - Other, Scarf
A simple, repeating pattern in a soft, thick yarn makes for a quickly worked up, snuggly warm accessory for the coldest days. Worked from the crown of the head in one piece, it is suitable for both men and women.
Crochet: Hot Water Bottle
This hot water bottle cover is made using the most snuggly soft yarn I have worked with to date! The interesting cable pattern is on one side only, so it doesn’t impede the warmth that comes through on the reverse.
Crochet: Tablecloth
This is a lacy pattern, worked from side to side for the main stitch area, then bordered with a semi-solid edging to finish it off. It was made to use most of a Whirlette.
Crochet: Cowl
This is designed to be a big, snuggly cowl that can be pulled up over the head or slipped around the shoulders. The height measures 40cm (15.5”) and the circumference is 102cm (40”). However, it would be easy to extend the height further with extra yarn.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This geometrically-designed shawl is made by sewing together five crocheted triangles. The diamonds are a secondary pattern that become clear when the pieces are joined. Made with the recommended yarn, this shawl has a full shape and lovely weight.
Crochet: Cup / Mug, Coaster
You could use any 4 or 5 ply yarn for this project, but I’d recommend one with some cotton content, especially for the coasters so that they are more absorbent. Of course, this is not as crucial for the mug cosy! Two balls of the Scheepjes Stonewashed yarn is enough to make two cosies and six coasters.
Crochet: Scrubber, Washcloth / Dishcloth
This set is comprised of face washer, soap scrubby and face scrubby patterns. The face washer measures 29cm (11.5”), soap scrubby 14 x 8 cm (5.5 x 3.25”) and face scrubby 7 cm (2.75”).
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern uses basic stitches including ch, sc and dc and follows an 8 row repeat. The long lengths of chains are held together in the center by a sc, which forms the ‘web’.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This is a triangle shawl using just one ball of Scheepjes Whirl. However, you could substitute any type of yarn, with an appropriately-sized hook, to make this shawl. It has a four row repeating pattern which is easy to learn and can be expanded to be as large as you like! It does have a large picot edging just to finish it off.
Crochet: Scarf
The scarf is worked diagonally over 4 rows, with an edge row worked once the body of the scarf is complete. It is designed to use just one ball of BWM Bloom, and the finished item measures 203cm (80”) long and 15cm (6”) wide once blocked.

Crochet: Vest
I loved the pattern of my Lady of the Rings Shawl so much that I decided I needed to make a mandala-style vest using the same pattern. Any 8 ply (DK) cotton yarn should work with this design, and I used a slightly larger hook than generally recommended to allow good drape. It is a one-size design that should fit up to a 38” (95cm) bust. Using a...
Crochet: Dress
This pattern is in two sizes, for girls aged 4-6 and 8-10. The pattern can be used to make both a top and a dress - instructions are given where to finish off both garments. It is a pretty, sleeveless design for those warm summer days, which has gradual shaping in the skirt to form an attractive A-line garment.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This is a slightly extended version of my ’Pretty As… Shawl’ which used Scheepjes Whirl yarn. For this ‘Lady of the Rings Shawl’, I used the lovely, soft fingering (4 ply) 100% Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton yarn. This shawl features rows of ‘rings’, which is what suggested the name to me.
Crochet: Pixie Hat
This is a lovely, textural hat with an unusual (but easy) rib stitch for the main part of the hat, and a wide edging of ‘scales’ (crocodile stitch) to frame the face. This pattern uses ties to hold the hat on your head.
Crochet: Vest
This is an adaptation of the Lacy Mandala Vest for Girls, using a single colour, 12 ply yarn instead of the self-striping, 10 ply yarn. The two smaller sizes require a 6.5mm hook, while the largest size uses a 7mm hook.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This is a fairly lacy design with a feature of rows of circles which look a little like peacock tail ‘eyes’ which, along with the self-striping Scheepjes Whirl yarn give the shawl its name. Please note that an extended version is my Lady of the Rings Shawl pattern.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This is a capelet (meaning short cape), and comes to a few inches below the shoulder, so is perfect to keep the shoulders warm when wearing sleeveless/strapless dresses on those slightly cooler spring/autumn nights.
Crochet: Rug
This is a fairly simple design that works up quickly. Once the central rectangle is done, you’ll find the 5 pattern rows easy to remember.
Crochet: Vest
This is a mandala vest that has been adapted from a vintage doily pattern. The pattern will fit a chest of about 56cm: if you want a larger size, increase the size of your hook.
